JLB Winter Meetings kick off Monday with Butter spread thin

The 2022 JLB Winter Meetings open at midnight tonight, and we already have three more deals in the bank.

Butter apparently didn't want to deal with a slow draft, so he joins the Main Line Gamblers as the only teams not to have picks in the draft.

But there's still two days to change that. The draft locks in at 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 12.

Until then, I'm sure we'll see some more movement.

A big name green got moved on Friday as Topton picked up Zac Veen, a highly touted Rockies prospect, in a deal with The Stantonians, who got back Blake Snell in the deal. It was a good deal on both sides. For the Fantasy Brothers, they get a starting pitcher they need, and for Topton, he grabs a minor leaguer that far surpasses any of the available greens in the draft right now.

The Nutz picked up four minor leaguers in three separate minor deals. All four are in the most recent MLB Pipeline Top 100, with Pirates catcher Henry Davis sitting at No. 22.

And at the end of the day, it didn't really cost him too much to grab the four players, so not a bad pre-Winter Meetings rush.

He says he's sitting out the draft, but let's see what happens next. This is the same man who said he didn't have any deals left in him and boom, three deals in 36 hours.

That said, he's got to run out of offseason moves at some point, right?
