So what the hell is this ranking system?

Well, just hold on and I’ll tell you.

This formula figures out the top pitching staff and batting lineup and takes into account how many wins you have to calculate your Jam Score Ranking.

This is how it works. First, you get points for each of the 24 categories. If you are No. 1 out of 12 teams in the category, you get 12 points. If you are 12th, you get 1 point. And so on for the teams in the middle.

Then, you add up your points in pitching and you get your pitching points. So if you’re tops in the league in pitching in every category, you should have (12x12) 144 points.

Then, you do the same for your batters. Now that you have those two numbers, you can plug it into the Jam Score Formula:

(Pitching Score + Batting Score) x (Team Wins x 0.01) = Jam Score

I believe that should cover the explanation. If you’re still lost, go take algebra again or call me.

Team Suck, no surprise is in first place after two weeks, and he’s leading the Jam Score Rankings with 50.96 points.

The biggest reason he is there is because of his pitching. Zach Greinke has 20.0 innings of shutout ball this season. That’s a big help.

Team Suck will run up against the No. 4-ranked team, JimmyJam Slammers, whose Jam Score is 46.25.

The Slammers lead a few categories on the offensive side, but have really been hurt by pitching. Ranked in the bottom five in ERA, WHIP, Losses and Walks is not helping them out whatsoever.

The schedule was perfectly made as the No. 2 and No. 3 ranked teams will battle each other this week, too.

No. 2 NJ Bombers (48.62) will face No. 3 Sex Panthers (48.25), who are separated by less than one point. The Bombers had the most points in the batting categories, while the Panthers had the most points overall.

KQHS Channel 9 Evening News rounds out the top five. He’ll take on the Drunken Taxis Drivers, who are in last place. It might be time to cut back on the sauce because this is a cabbie you do not want to have drive you around.

Not at this point, at least.

I will try to release the Jam Score Rankings every two weeks — maybe every week if I’m not too busy. Hope you enjoy.
