Stay in Houserville, all Toasty by the fire

Real Houserville at World of Noise

Well, this matchup is well underway. Or is it under way? Screw you Heather Henline.

(I hope Dawson and Nick Malawskey get that joke. The rest of you can disregard it.)

One thing you can’t disregard is the fact that Dallas Clark is a fantasy All-Star.

To get 21.5 points from your tight end and five TDs in two fantasy playoff games is CLUTCH. That’s something that will get you to a JFL Super Bowl, and possibly win it.

The Slackers felt the wrath of Clark last week.

And now, it’s Houserville’s turn, but he has the answer to Clark — Peyton Manning.

Manning went for 38.7 and now the battle for the Office Space Conference is on and it should be a fun one because it can go either way.

But the Noise has made some interesting moves, thus far. First of all, he’s missing a WR, so that decision should be made soon.

He also has Leonard Weaver in the flex. Only fullbacks Le’Ron McClain and Mike Alstott have ever earned fantasy starts in the JFL (if I’m not mistaken), so Weaver is making history.

For Noise, he is hoping history doesn’t make him look like a fool. You know, like George Bush or Britney Spears.

He also may be in trouble considering seven of his eight positions remaining could be in the snow. Houserville has a few warm weather games and domes helping him out. That could be the different maker.

Channel 4 News Team at Dottsville Toasters

David and Goliath is used too often, but it should be appropriate for this matchup.

I mean, look at News Team. In no way do I want to lessen his second straight 8-5 season and second straight first-round playoff win, but he’s going with Chris Jennings at RB (Cleveland) and Santanna Moss and Terrell Owens.

It’s been rough in News Team camp, but still, he has managed and done a great job as the team’s owner getting them to where they need to be.

Everyone under performed last week, including MVP candidate Aaron Rodgers, but realistically, he would not be getting the chance to butter the Toast if it wasn’t for DeSean Jackson’s 35-point explosion last week.

With the stormy weather in Philly this week, it’s hard to believe that he’ll be able to duplicate that output.

The Toasters lucks out.

His QB Matt Schaub is in a dome in St. Louis, which means only good things can happen; his star RB Chris Johnson is in Miami, where I believe the winter storm warning has been lifted; Miles Austin is in the dome in New Orleans; and Vincent Jackson is in beautiful San Diego, which I believe means “A whale’s vah-jay-jay.”

Hey, I’m keeping it PG here.

So, when all is said and done, I don’t think there’s any avoiding it.

The Toasters and Real Houserville will meet in JFL Super Bowl IV.

Sorry News Team. Sorry Noise.

It’s been a great season, but on to the next. [Insert fist pound]
