Slight changes to rosters, scoring

With 12 teams in the league, I feel like it would be better to make it an option in the TE slot, so this year, we’ll have the option to have either have a WR/TE in the spot.

The roster will look like:

QB
RB
R
RB/WR
WR
WR
TE/WR
K
DEF

Looking at the averages, you still should be better off starting at TE, but this just gives you an option. Here’s the stats logic on my last statement.

Wide receivers ranked 37th through 48th (which would be “fourth receiver” for each fantasy team if everyone took four wideouts and went by rankings) average point totals from 110.6 to 101.6 per season.

The top 12 tight ends who would occupy that fourth spot average 176.5 points to 99.4, with the top four earning 176.5, 173.5, 163.7 and 147.1 points last season. Fifth through 12 were 122.7 to 99.4. The final three had fewer points than the 37th-ranked widedout.

Toasters Gearing Up for Repeat

It's that time.

It's time to buy the fantasy magazines so you can see who's "supposed" to be No. 1 at WR this year.

It's time to listen to some NFL Sirius Radio and watch the NFL Network to find the golden nugget that will help you draft this year's Miles Austin or this year's Chris Johnson or this year's Ray Rice. ... The Toasters was not only the king of the league last year, he was the king of the draft, picking up gem after gem. Three of his first four picks were absolute fantasy stars.

Now he's faced with the great task of picking keepers.

And that's tougher than winning a championship.

To get which two of the five will be the best this year is always a tough task, and one that a fantasy owner most often looks back on in October and says, "Damn it."

But, with the luck the Toasters has had, I'm sure he'll make the right choices.

Keepers
Rules are the same as last year. Everyone gets two keepers and no one can have two of one position.

Draft pick trading is set up so that you can pick up different keepers from other teams.

Also, you will be able to replace a keeper after the Aug. 11 deadline if it is clear that the keeper originally selected will miss the opener due to injury/suspension/what-have-you.
