Cutting it close, but I got them written.
It was tough with the Phillies, Flyers and work, but I got something written.
It should be an interesting day overall. I feel like there are going to be a few shocking performances this week that will make the recaps uber fun.
So I can't wait for those.
Team Boyer (3-1) at Jimmy Jammers (3-1)
The Jammers is off to his best start in three years and he should have a good chance to move to 4-1 with Boyer missing his No. 1 guy, Tom Brady, who is on the BYE. He also is without Hines Ward.
On the other hand, the Jammers isn't without any starters because of the BYE, but all three running backs are on the injury report. Ray Rice, Peyton Hillis and Jahvid Best are all either questionable or probable and will likely be limited Sunday.
But that is why the Jammers' lineup is loaded with four receivers instead of three backs. Roddy White and Matt Ryan are in Cleveland and that should be a Falcons' rout, which will give the Jammers at least 40 points between the two.
Larry Fitzgerald is back in the lineup despite several poor weeks that are not his fault, but Kurt Warner's for retiring. Nonetheless, he should still get at least nine points because he is Fitzgerald.
Malcolm Floyd and Dustin Keller should hit their averages, which will push the Jammers over the top.
With Keller and the Jets defense going on Monday, it could be a Monday night comeback.
Boyer's best hope for this week is that backup Eli Manning takes a break from doing commercials and scores 20 to 30 fantasy points, along with Michael Turner burning his way to a big ground game, which would in turn take away from Matt Ryan and Roddy White's offensive output.
That could equal a win for the Boyer, because Santana Moss, Louis Murphy and an injured Joseph Addai will not.
Jammers' Biased Prediction: Jammers 123, Boyer 111
Jawz Attack (1-3) at Graybill's Generals (1-3)
The five-game road trip continues for the Attack. After starting with a win at home, the Jawz has taken his show on the road and gone 0-3. Not that the homefield advantage has had an effect on him, but the road certainly has been tough.
But things are looking good this week.
Traveling to the Generals, who ended his own three-game losing streak last week, the Attack has some great matchups this week and a few wideouts who are due.
Lee Evans and Marques Colston both have the potential to put up big point totals, but they haven't done so yet this season.
Evans' new QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been chucking the ball around as opposed to the former QB Trent Edwards' tendency to dump it off to the back. Last week with Fitzpatrick, Evans had just one catch, but against the Jags suspect secondary, I would expect Evans to get a few more targets. And being the deep threat that he is, I'm going out on a limb here, but Evans will catch a TD of 50-plus yards today. Look for the bomb.
I don't expect the bomb to Colston, but I do expect him to get into the end zone finally.
The other two plays for the Attack that I think will be key are Mark Sanchez on Monday night and Maurice Jones-Drew against Buffalo's awful defense. Jones will run and receive his way to another 20-point day.
Sanchez did great against his division rivals and the Vikings defense hasn't been all that great, so I'd expect Sanchez to go for 200 and two scores, at least.
The Generals will hope for Braylon Edwards to catch most of those passes, but with Santonio Holmes returning, it will be interesting to see how the ball is distributed.
The other matchup battle here will be the T.OCHO SHOW. Did anyone else see the commercial for this show on Versus?
This week, the show pits these two WRs against each other.
Last week, the Generals benefited from a big day by Terrell Owens and the Attack fell on a day where Ochocinco watch T.O. go crazy.
This matchup could come down to who has the bigger day against the Bucs.
I'm going to lean toward Ocho this week.
Jammers' Prediction: Attack 137, Generals 110
Channel 4 News Team (3-1) at Real Houserville (2-2)
Houserville has dug himself out of the hole, and thanks to Fear's two-game losing streak, the Ville is tied for first place in the Eagle Division.
To take a step toward sole possession of first place will be tough, but attainable.
Houserville would be the favorite in this matchup if it weren't for the fact that his trio of running backs are on the bench this week.
Rashard Mendenhall and Justin Forsett are both on the BYE and Darren McFadden has been ruled out due to injury.
That leaves Felix Jones, who is completely unreliable, and waiver-wire pickup Ryan Torain.
Torain may be good for double-digits, but Jones should be a bust, barring one big play.
Still, that lack of production is not the end of the world because Houserville will have the quarterback edge with Peyton Manning.
It's not because Manning is so far ahead of Aaron Rodgers in the fantasy world — because he is not — but it's because Houserville has the equalizers in Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley.
If Rodgers gets 30 points, it's almost a guarantee that Jennings and Finley will have a combined 20-30 points themselves.
That wash may be enough for the Ville to sneak by — so the News Team will be hoping for a lot of Donald Driver catches Sunday.
He also will hope for another Arian Foster explosion and a Kevin Kolb revival, because he will need that for DeSean Jackson to find any kind of success. With Vick, Jackson is averaging about 24 points per game. With Kolb, he's averaging about 4 points per game. That's a big difference.
And that will be the reason why Houserville escapes this matchup with a win.
Jammers' Prediction: Houserville 121, News Team 113
Chinese Organ Thieves (4-0) at Fear and Loathing (2-2)
There isn't much standing in the way of the Thieves and 5-0.
With injuries galore, Fear is riding a two-game losing streak and it doesn't look like it's going to end this weekend.
Not after what happened last weekend.
Fear lost both of his quarterbacks — Jay Cutler and Michael Vick, both ruled out for this week — as well as running back Pierre Thomas and wideout Steve Smith (CAR).
That left him having to pick up QB Shaun Hill and RB Michael Bush to fill some holes. He might need to do some more before Sunday's games start.
The good news for him is that Hill has what would appear to be a favorable matchup in St. Louis. He also has Bush running alone in Oakland with Darren McFadden ruled out. This will give Bush the chance to show everyone that he can do it all by himself, which he can.
Also, he has Randy Moss relocating to Minnesota, which has already had the BYE, so Moss will get to play the rare 17-game regular season without a BYE week. Although, with how the Patriots treated him — they didn't even throw the ball to him once last week — it was like having the BYE week against the Dolphins. Mario Manningham also had a similar "BYE" last week, not catching a single pass. One might expect some changes before Sunday's lineups are official.
Nevertheless, no change will change the fact that the Organ Thieves have the superior lineup going Sunday.
The one thing to note is that if this matchup remains close, it could come down to who performs better, Thieves running back Thomas Jones or Fear's Jamaal Charles. The two KC backs will again share touches and run up against each other for TDs.
Jammers' Prediction: Thieves 134, Fear 99.
Dottsville Toasters (2-2) at Sunday Slackers (1-3)
The reigning Super Bowl champs have looked nothing like the team that was, for the most part, unstoppable last season.
This year, they merely been fly in the room. Annoying sometimes, but eventually the pestering disappears.
Well, for the Slackers, the fly will be buzzing Sunday.
Matt Schaub, Chris Johnson, Matt Forte, Darren Sproles, Calvin Johnson and Vernon Davis, as well as the Saints defense will have great days.
Is that everyone?
Almost.
The best matchups come with Forte against the Double-A Panthers, Sproles against the Triple-A Raiders and Calvin Johnson against the SIngle-A Rams.
That's right. Minor league matchups today.
All of the aforementioned players will hit double-digits, and the Saints should go crazy with rookie quarterback Max Hall starting for the Cardinals.
Field day!
On the other side of that Cardinals matchup, Drew Brees should break out of his 2010 slump with the Cards defense that hasn't shown it can defend anyone in 2010.
But other than the Falcons defense, I'm not too sure any of the other matchups for the Slackers are worth big points. Cedric Benson may get there against the Bucs and LaDainian Tomlinson has been consistent, but it could be a rough day for the rest of the lineup.
Jammers' Prediction: Toasters 140, Slackers 103
World of Noise (1-3) at T-Money (1-3)
The Noise is hurting. The Dolphins and Patriots are on the BYE, which is half the team, and for those who are playing, they are injured.
Fortunately he gets Santonio Holmes back because Andre Johnson is questionable again and Austin Collie is inactive.
That pushes Avant into the lineup and that's it. He's out of players. His bench has no other starters so if Johnson is out, it's a big zero.
Without Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, it's Steve Slaton and Kevin Smith. Both backups who will barely touch the ball barring injuries.
That's why T-Money will win this matchup.
I am surprised that Dexter McCluster is on the bench for the Money man. I personally would go with him over Kenny Britt, because this McCluster kid is going to be a star.
But it's a decision he can afford to make this week.
Hell. He could afford to sit a quarter his team and still win.
I think that should do it for this matchup. I'd say more, but there really isn't much with this depleted lineup.
Jammers' Prediction: T-Money 120, Noise 61
