FB: Thankful for a Delicious Serving of Games

John Elway clearly doesn't like Tebow, which proves that Broncos fans were wrong when they thought John Elway was God. ... Bill Parcells is among 26 semifinalists for the Hall of Fame, which means that he needs to get an NFL coaching gig soon to push off his eligibility. ... DeAngelo Hall told his team that he deserved to be released after the Redskins loss Sunday. It's too bad they didn't cut him. The Dream Team could use another cornerback.

I'm going to be driving a bit today, which is kind of upsetting. I have about an hour-and-a-half drive to West Chester which I'll be making at about halftime of the Lions-Packers game, and then I imagine I'll be heading home around halftime of the 49ers-Ravens game.

Sirius/XM Radio, you are my friend today.

It's the best NFL Thanksgiving slate that I can remember, especially since going to a three-game schedule. The day the Eagles played the Cards was a great day, but that was solely because the Eagles hadn't played on Thanksgiving since 1989 — which doesn't make sense because you think the Eagles-Cowboys game would be a fun one to play every couple of years.

I guess cause the Cowboys lost 27-0 in 1989 to the Eagles. Did Jerry Jones push for the Eagles to be banned from Thanksgiving? Would surprise me, especially since they keep playing the Dolphins.

Today's Cowboys-Dolphins game is the only game that doesn't involve winning teams, but the Dolphins have won three straight games and could really give the Cowboys a game. It should be fun because we all know when it comes to big games, Tony Romo tends to not show up.

So that's an interesting game just because an upset is very possible, but still, you can't beat the other two games.

The Lions have a great chance at handing the Packers their first loss in a game that should be a shootout. I honestly cannot imagine either team having fewer than 20 points. If they do, I'll be absolutely shocked.

I'll also be one of several fantasy owners upset, because there are some major points to be gained today.

Three games, six teams, all with viable fantasy options. How many Thanksgivings have had that lately?

Four of the six QBs are key starters, and Alex Smith could be if anyone needed him. Running backs include DeMarco Murray, Reggie Bush, Ray Rice, Frank Gore, and there really isn't a RB in the Packers-Lions game that matters. Wide receivers include all the entire Packers contingent, Calvin Johnson, Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, Dez Bryant, Laurent Robinson, possibly Miles Austin, and Brandon Marshall.

I listed Brandon Marshall because I benched him and that means he'll scored 17 fantasy points, like the last time I benched him.

Include the defense and kickers and there are a lot of points to be had today.

In all, 31 players/defenses are in lineups today. T-Money leads the JFL with five players going (if I counted right), including three in the 49ers-Ravens game.

Below are the playoff scenarios I had posted earlier in the week. There's a lot on the line and today may put a few teams in great shape heading into Sunday where they'll look to clinch divisions and playoff spots.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Enjoy all the games. I won't be in the chat room but I'll be Tweeting, so you can follow me there to see what I have to say about today's action.

Playoff Scenarios
I think I cover all of the most likely scenarios. If there are any interesting ones I missed, please let me know.

Nittany Conference scenarios

  • News Team clinches division and playoff berth with a win. He can also clinch the No. 1 seed with a win and a Team Boyer loss.

  • Boyer can clinch the division with a win and a T-Money loss.

  • Graybill Generals can clinch a playoff berth with a win and a loss by both T-Money and the Toasters.

  • Toasters needs to win out and have T-Money and Graybill Generals lose at least one game. Toasters holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Generals; and since the Toasters is trailing in points to T-Money, he'll need T-Money to either lose two games or lose in Week 13 to Team Boyer so that way the Toasters finish 2-2 in the division and T-Money finishes 1-3 to keep the tiebreaker from going to points.

  • T-Money can win the division with two wins and at least one Team Boyer loss. With T-Money playing Boyer in Week 13, it means I can say, win out and you're in. With Boyer carrying a tie, there aren't any tie-breaking scenarios that will come in play here, unless, T-Money ties the Slackers in Week 12.

  • Chinese Organ Thieves. See you next year.

    Liberty Conference scenarios

  • Jimmy Jammers can almost seal the deal with a win and a Slackers loss. In all likelihood, this division is going to come down to a tiebreaker that involves points, which the Jammers holds a decent lead at this point. Still, the Jammers with a win this week will move to 3-1 in the division. If Jawz Attack can defeat the Slackers in Week 13, the Jammers clinch in No. 1 seed and the division.

  • Just insert Slackers in for everything above and change the weeks and forget about the points tiebreaker part. If the Slackers beat Jawz Attack in Week 13 and the Jammers loses to Jawz Attack in Week 12, the Slackers win the division and the No. 1 seed.

  • Jawz is packing. And looking to spoil.

  • Fear and Loathing is in a world of hurt right now after losing to World of Noise for the second time this season. This was the best thing for Houserville. Fear needs to (1) beat Houserville in Week 13 or (2) win in Week 12 to move to 7-5 and have Houserville lose in Week 12 to lock up the No. 2 seed and host the first round of the playoffs.

  • Houserville is back in the race. He needs to win out in most cases. Simple as that. There are many scenarios to how he would win the division if he does so, but all give him the same result. (1) If he beats Noise this week and Fear loses, they'll be tied at 6-6 and the winner of Week 13 would obviously take the division. (2) If Fear wins and Houserville wins in Week 12, Houserville would have to beat Fear in Week 13 to knot their records at 7-6, but the Ville would be 3-1 in the division, opposed to 1-3 for Fear. (3) If both lose in Week 12, then Houserville would need to beat Fear in Week 13, and with a tie at 6-7, the Ville would own the tiebreaker with a 2-2 division record and Fear's 1-3 record. (4) If any one of them ties… well, I'm not worrying about that tiebreaker scenario in Week 12.

  • Noise is way outta here, but he does have a great shot at finishing 3-1 in the division with a win this week. Bragging rights! (A loss does lock him in for the No. 1 pick in the 2012 draft.)
