BB: First Week in the Books in the JLB

This was as lopsided as it gets.

I’ve never seen anything like this. Big League Choo is the American League leader with 10 wins and 11 losses.

That’s right, the leader.

The National League absolutely demolished the American League. It wasn’t even close. The National League piled up 87 wins to the American League’s 38.

Even uglier is the AL East. Four of six NL teams posted more wins than the entire AL East combined. The Bombers and Panthers each got five wins and the Bad News Bears had three.

The AL West was a little better as Choo posted 10 wins, Jerkin’ eight and the Gamblers seven.

Certainly a wild start and I’m sure the American League will be happy that Interleague play is done for the time being. Now they can beat each other up.

And of course, that’s what’s going to happen in the NL. It was said at the beginning of the season that the NL East is by far the best division in the JLB, and with 47 wins in the first week, it’s holding true.

Vandelay holds the early-season lead in the division after playing the Bad News Bears and walking away with an 18-3-3 win.

Long week
It’s the longest matchup of the season, outside of the long All-Star Break, so it’s kind of weird to be just starting the second matchup of the season.

And it’s even weirder to look at the standings. Not just in our League, but in the real world.

The Dodgers are off to an amazing start and I cannot believe how good they look. The craziest thing is how insane Matt Kemp’s numbers are. He has six homers, 16 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He’s batting .487 and seems to be unstoppable right now. He certainly has to be a Triple Crown candidate and I’d give him a great chance to do it.

I’m jealous of Vandelay and he quite possibly could win a lot of matchups just because of Kemp.
