JimmyJam League Baseball: Fantasy News (1.26.14)

MLB.com released it’s top 100 prospects, including its top 10 at every position, so I thought it would be a good time to take a look at the JLB Farm Report.

Twins OF prospect Byron Buxton, of the Sex Panthers, is this year's No. 1
prospect, according to MLB.com. For the full list, CLICK HERE.
I scored teams based on the top-10 by position rankings, awarding teams 10 points for the No. 1 player and 1 point for the No. 10. You should understand what happens in between. If not, take a math class, or a logic class, or trade all your prospects to Choo.

Also note, that this report includes mostly players who have not seen a single pitch in the majors. So, this is just a look at the JLB teams’ future. For example, Vandelay scored zero points, but Jose Fernandez, Gerrit Cole and Matt Harvey, to name a few, all make his minor league squad one of the best in the JLB.

So, these points certainly do not say which team is better heading into 2014. It just says who’s future has a great potential — if they keep the players and if they develop.

Oh, ‘If.”

That’s what the Gameday Gamblers are thinking. “What if?”

With 45 points between six players, five of whom were in the top 4 in their respective positions, the Gamblers are ready to move into 2014 with a fresh crop of players.

If he keeps them.

Here’s how the JLB breaks down heading into 2014:
