I was so excited on Tuesday for the #PowerAlley Dream Team, that I did not catch how the salaries were going to be determined. I just assumed that it would be average value considering how some teams really backload their contracts.
I'm looking at you, Marlins.
But, alas, that's not the case, so Giancarlo Stanton, at a meager $6.5M (out of his $325M contract) is available to me.
I also was able to upgrade at shortstop and catcher, while at the same time, I cut back on a few bucks at RP.
Here's my new Dream Team based on salaries for this year.
Most of my selections remain the same, so for reasons, go here: http://jimmysjargon.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-jargons-version-of-poweralley-dream.html
For the new players, I think it's pretty self-explanatory. Lucroy and Desmond are among the best at their position, especially at the plate. And, Stanton needs no explanation. He's a huge upgrade from J.D. Martinez.
I added Dellin Betances because I didn't even consider him the first time around because I for some reason just assumed he was younger than 25. Once I found out he was 26 — thanks @TheCubanDynasty — I had to add him.
