The 2019 Winter Meetings
are here starting tomorrow night.
And it’s right now as I
research last year’s meeting that I realize that this is the second 2019 Winter
Meeting.
I completely forgot that
we did it in January last year, so here we are doing it again in 2019.
Monday through Wednesday
will be our Winter Meetings on Slack from 9 p.m. to midnight each night. Every
owner should make an effort to check your messages on those evenings.
Why should you?
Easy, the JLB World Series
awaits the winner of the Winter Meetings!
At least that is what we
saw last year.
Breakfast made a pair of big
deals during last January’s meetings and he went on to win his first JLB World
Series.
So that has to be the
recipe to win, right?
Well, not so fast.
Looking back at it now,
the Winter Meetings maybe had nothing to do with it.
He got Trevor Bauer — who
underperformed — in a costly deal that sent away Jo Adell.
And he also got Hunter
Renfroe and Michael Kopech for 2019 All-Stars Charlie Morton and Yasmani
Grandal from Quad Eh. … The two All-Stars played a key role in getting Quad Eh
to the World Series, so let’s revamp my statement.
Participating in the JLB
Winter Meetings greatly increases your chances of making the World Series.
