JLB 2020 Schedule is Released

The 2020 schedule is out thanks to the Sorting Hat.

OK, so I used a mug, but nonetheless, I picked the matchups out and they are magical!

Thanks to the Cinderella Quad Eh All-Stars and their run to the World Series, that moved a midseason interleague matchup last year to Week 1.

In the traditional Week 1 World Series rematch, Quad Eh will take on the World Series Champion Big Ol' Country Breakfast. ... Man, that's too much to type.

Acronym perhaps? WSCBOCB ... That's too confusing and hard to type. I had to proof it twice, and I'm still not confident I got all the right letters there.

How about Breakfast of Champs?! There we go.

The Breakfast of Champs opens up against Quad Eh in what should be a fun 11-day battle. It's the first of six Interleague weeks and this year, the majority of them come before June, but we'll get to that in a second.

Week 1 also pits two-time World Series Champion Gameday Gamblers who is living in the past versus three-time World Series Champion JimmyJam Slammers who is also living in the past. I hope the Reds get off to a good start. And boy do I hope one of us gets out of the past to win again soon.

Topton, with the youngest owner in the JLB, brings in his squad of super young stars and prospects vs. the Dude who will hope the heart of his lineup can play without buzzers. Oh, and he has a super prospects or two, as well.

Crox plays Monkey to start off the year and Choo takes on Steroid in a beer-lovers quarrel.

Oh, and the Steaks play the Panthers. But that should be a quiet matchup. Nothing big really happened between those two franchises this offseason.

Division play starts up in Week 3, and when Week 9 is in the books, we will have completed most of Interleague play. From June on, 10 of the final 12 weeks will be divisional matchups, which includes the five straight divisional weeks to close the season — just like last season.

That's how the mug picked it and I like it.

Week 16, the week prior to the five-week divisional homestretch, is the All-Star Break week, and boy, I cannot wait to face the Breakfast of Champions for an extended period! That weeky may have me screaming jibberish, like WSCBOCB!
