JLB: Dunbars, Breakfast connect for February blockbuster deal

If you were taking bets — and I assume you were because that seems to be what everyone is doing nowadays, whether it be on one of the several online gambling services or the stock market — I hope you had Parker for the big score.

That's right.

The man to first trade a Cameo fantasy player was Parker Dunbar, defying the odds and spoiling the fortunes of millions who had money down on Steve Spillane doing it first.

I mean, that was the safe bet, right?

Drew Waters, who should be really upset that he wasted a minute or so praising the Dodging Dunbars, was packaged with Luis Castillo and a sixth-round pick for Julio Rodriguez, Zack Wheeler and a third-round pick from Big Country Breakfast.

This is a good deal all around as a top-five prospect — not top three, of course, to Parker's dismay — joins a hoard of other Top 50 prospects on the Dodging Dunbars who appear to be dodging wins (again).

OK, I kid. This doesn't really impact his 2021 competitiveness too much. Wheeler still provides solid fantasy numbers with a higher ERA than Castillo, so all-in-all, this was a really good addition to the deal as we all know J-Rod was the prime target here.

J-Rod is 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds with some great tools, which include insane bat speed. He has a 60 grade hit tool with 65 power, and he should be part of an exciting outfield in Seattle come 2022 — and maybe even late 2021.

Even better, he's a likable guy off the field and exactly what MLB needs from the younger generation. He's really big into social media, which means we should expect a Cameo video from him in a few days.

Parker should hurry, though.

His Cameo price is only going to go up.

Across the table, Breakfast is continuing to push the chips all in. He sees the reset on the horizon, but this is one final push at glory. Castillo gives him one more arm to make this run possible.

With several guys on the edge of joining JV's AARP All-Stars, Sam knows it's now or never.

Sending top prospects like Bobby Witt and J-Rod for established players like Goldschmidt and Castillo prove just that.
