2022 JLB Schedule Announced ... Finally!

The lockout is over and so is my lockout from writing Jargons.

OK, so I wasn't really locked out, but I didn't have anything good to say (Go ahead, Choo. Say it. When do I ever?).

Truth is, I don't have much more to say today other than the schedule is out and ready to go with our World Series matchup in the Week 1 slot.

The World Series Champion Breakfast will take on the Steaks in the two-week battle which begins on Opening Day, April 7.

That will be the first of five Interleague weeks in the JLB season. The others will take place in Weeks 8, 9, 10 and 15.

The rest of the weeks are devoted to division matchups as everyone will play division mates three times each.

The Wild Card matchups between the No. 2 and 3 seeds will take place in Week 21. Winners will move on to face the division winners in a two-week aggregate scoring series in Weeks 22 and 23.

And at last, the World Series will take place in Weeks 24 and 25.

But let's go back to the regular season. That's where the real craziness is.

The All-Star Game Break brings about another longer matchup in the JLB, and I typically like to have some fun with the matchups that week.

This year, though, I just picked everything at random.

Well, the world works in funny ways because I swear I did not mean this to happen, but my god, what a fun week.

So circle your calendars!

We have Philly Cheese vs. the Crox, Sex Panthers vs. Nutz, Quad Eh vs. Gamblers, Slammers vs. Big League Choo and Breakfast vs. Stantonians.

This is pretty damn good for not even trying.

Panthers and Nutz have long battled back and forth in the chat, so this is a rivalry worthy of two weeks. Gamblers and Quad Eh can easily talk unions while their teams battle for the extended period. Choo and me needs no explanation; neither does Cheese and Crox.

Breakfast brought his buddies, The Stantonians, into this League, so it's only fitting that they square off.

Lastly, there's the Dude and Topton. ... I guess there's no history there, so we'll have to make something up between now and the All-Star Break. Can we find a reason for these two to want to battle it out?

Maybe they'll find some reason during the draft. It's only six days away. Keepers are in due in four!

Can you believe it?

This is insane to think about considering just five days ago we were cursing the baseball world for ruining the start to our summer.

We woke up on Thursday under the impression we were losing weeks of baseball, if not more. But later that day, we were celebrating the announcement of a full 162-game season.

It was quite the 180 to get a full 162 — and we'll take it.
