JLB 2023 season is officially underway

The 2023 season is officially open with a pair of monster trades sending Cy Youngs and mega-million dollar players to new homes, and Big League Choo (his new name is banned from Jargon content) made the big splash live on the JLB Green Lottery Show on Thursday night.

Little did he know that the acquisitions of Scherzer, Verlander and Rodon wouldn't be the only exciting news for him.

Choo's name somehow came out of the Santa hat first as the JLB Commissioner, yours truly, drew the Green Draft order in front of several League members, including two-time reigning World Series Champion Sam Marcinek. Topton, Philly Cheese and Main Line also joined the call.

Philly Cheese wished he hadn't joined the Zoom call because for about 6 excruciating minutes he waited and waited until his name finally came out at No. 11.

According to some reports, he muttered under his breath after Pick No. 7: "My team isn't getting any younger."

The champ, on the other hand, didn't have to wait as long to hear his name called.

He, of course, found some luck in this crazy game of fantasy baseball.

Here's the draft order:

1. Big League Choo
2. Charleston Boiled Peanuts
3. Sex Panthers
4. Big Ol' Country Breakfast
5. Quad Eh
6. Bensalem Slammers
7. Topton Tornadoes
8. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers
9. Main Line Gamblers
10. Stantonians
11. Philly Cheese Steaks
12. Crox Sox

Crox Sox pulled the last straw for the second straight year, which means he'll likely show up to my basement bunker to oversee next year's lotto drawing.

Here's the timeline we're looking at before the Green Draft:
